I made the mistake of buying two of the Access HD DTA 1080D model. I've spent half a day testing and retesting multiple cables and positions for both the units and the antenna and still can't get either converter to work properly. I can only assume that they are cheap junk; inadequate to the task they are advertised for. I also read the company's warranty return and am sure if I sent them back they'd claim there's nothing wrong and charge me another $25 each for these pathetic things. Ripped-off with the government's blessing - that's how I feel. But on the bright side, maybe I'll get more accomplished now that I won't be watching much TV at all.
